Technical Director
Department Lead: Jad Joueidi
Mechanical Engineering, Second Year
The Technical Director is responsible for leading and supervising all vehicle design subsystems. He promotes and maintains cooperation between these teams and dedicates many hours to reviewing their designs. The role requires expertise across all systems and ensures that the organization is on track to meet its competitive goals.
Chassis
Subsystem Lead: Omar Maldonado
Mechanical Engineering, Second Year
The Chassis team is focused on providing a framework for the vehicle that will guarantee safety and security at high speeds. The team is responsible for the chassis, occupant cell, license plate mounts, suspension mounts, aeroshell mounts, and chassis FEA.

Vehicle Dynamics
Subsystem Lead: N/A; If interested, DM an officer or subsystem lead in the discord.
The Vehicle Dynamics team is concentrated on optimizing the handling and piloting experience for the vehicle. The team designs the wheels, suspension, brakes, uprights, steering, wheel hubs, and motor mount.
Aerodynamic Composites
Subsystem Lead: Evan Rupp
Materials Science and Engineering, First Year
The Aerodynamic Composites team is focused on developing and manufacturing the materials that form the vehicle’s shell. This subsystem is responsible for composite material selection, fiber orientation strategy, core materials, mold preparation, curing, structural reinforcement, and quality control.

Aerodynamic Design
Subsystem Lead: N/A; If interested, DM an officer or subsystem lead in the discord.
The Aerodynamics Design team is focused on optimizing the airflow around and throughout the vehicle to maximize performance and stability by minimizing drag and weight. This subsystem is responsible for shell geometry, CFD analysis, body panel design, and aerodynamic optimization.
High Voltage Electrical
Subsystem Lead: : N/A; If interested, DM an officer or subsystem lead in the discord.
The High Voltage Electrical team is responsible for the vehicle’s source of power. The team works on the solar array, MPPTs, batteries, BPS, battery enclosure, battery ventilation, motor, motor controller, fuse, contactor, external power cutoff, wire management, and general electrical safety.

Low Voltage Electrical
Subsystem Lead: Mustafa Alyahya
Electrical Engineering, First Year
The Low Voltage Electrical team is in charge of the electrical components of the driver interface. This includes the fuse box, turn signals, headlights, brake lights, BPS fault indicators, hands-free driver comms, cruise control, rearview camera systems, wire management, and the driver interface console.
Ergonomics
Subsystem Lead: Roman May
Mechanical Engineering, First Year
The Ergonomics team ensures the driver’s safety, comfort, and accessibility while operating the vehicle. The team is responsible for the driver seat, belly pan, outside air circulation, driver visibility, parking brake actuator, steering wheel, ballast box, ballast bag, brake pedal, safety markings, safety belts, and egress directions.

Operations
Department Lead: Jacob Raider
Double Major: Psychology & Hospitality Management, First Year
The Operations team is focused on creating the best possible member experience. The team fosters connections by planning and hosting events, engages with the community through social media, and keeps the team running smoothly by supporting communication and organization. Additionally, Operations coordinates outreach to secure sponsorships and partnerships to provide the resources that fuel the design teams and their projects.
Programming
Subsystem Lead: Andrew Frantchouk
Computer Science, Second Year
The Programming team is responsible for the software systems that will be used by the vehicle. The team works on real-time telemetry, motor controls for power efficiency and delivery, driver interface control systems, and CAN bus communication while will enable components to seamlessly work together.
